When designing, you can’t always work on your own. The mixing and fusing of different minds into one big conglomerate of a creative brain can lead to unexpected, yet fruitful outcomes. Always value every resource you have to the maximum limit; only good designs can result from it.

This monograph analyzes the macro topic of portraits, broken down in diverse facets: Art, Philosophy, Photography, Perception, and Current Events. It is directed towards a population of 18-and-up, given that it contains graphic images, which were identified as not being suitable for minors. The title was then ideated: MiMeMa. It means “imitation” in Greek and signifies a representation of images (mimesis) in order to reflect on how I see myself (me), giving the reader the opportunity to then reflect on what Mankind actually is. Just colors and images, or is there something that goes beyond the bidimensional figure? (Ma, as in “but”… There’s always another reflection that can be done).
The format and margins are based on the editor, Skira’s, actual guidelines. A free version of the publication was then designed, in the form of a multi-page brochure, to accompany the exhibition that would showcase the images contained in the monograph.
